PALE PINK FROSTED BLADED BARITE CRYSTAL CLUSTER
This substantial natural Barite specimen presents an extraordinary field of densely layered pale pink, blush and creamy-white bladed crystal formations across a heavy natural matrix.
The primary display face is packed with elongated Barite blades crossing, overlapping and radiating in nearly every direction. Many of the crystal surfaces carry a distinctive fine frosted or sugary-looking mineral texture, creating a soft sparkling appearance across the otherwise sharply structured blades.
The coloration is markedly different from the deeper orange Barite specimens in this collection. Here, the palette remains predominantly soft blush pink, pale peach and creamy white, allowing the dark areas of exposed matrix and mineralization to create dramatic natural contrast throughout the crystal field.
Numerous blades occur in parallel groups, radiating fans and intersecting formations, while other areas expose broader tabular crystal faces beneath the finer textured growth. The result is an exceptionally complex specimen that reveals new formations as it is viewed from different angles.
The reverse exposes a substantial section of the natural host matrix, making the transition from raw matrix into dense Barite crystal growth clearly visible.
At 5 inches long and 924 grams (2 lbs., 0.6 oz.), this is another exceptionally heavy cabinet-sized Barite specimen with substantial physical and visual presence.
The specimen was supplied as Barite without confirmed locality or identification of associated secondary minerals. Dark and metallic-looking areas visible within the matrix are therefore described visually rather than assigned an unverified mineral identity.
